Shipping and Delivery

Designer Doors Supply ensures the best handling of competitive prices, convenient shipping, and practical policies to provide the best service for our customers. We do everything we can to correctly calculate your order’s shipping before the purchase.

Sometimes it is impossible to calculate it with complete accuracy in advance, and we undertake to notify you if any additional shipping or handling fees apply. When informed about extra charges, you reserve the right to change or cancel your order and receive a full refund.

Please note

  • The shipping carrier insures all shipments.
  • If any delivery date or address changes occur, the buyer must send updated information in writing and call our office within 24 hours after placing the order.
  • For pre-hung orders, excluding single door units, the frame is shipped disassembled to prevent damage. Assembly requires only screws and a screwdriver; all other parts are included.
  • Curbside delivery means your item will be delivered to the curb at the end of your driveway. We do not provide placement on the driveway, sidewalk, or inside the house, and we do not remove packaging.

Shipping and Order Confirmations

Upon placing the order, you will receive a confirmation by email that your order has been received.

You will then get a second email when the order has been shipped.

If your order requires multiple shipments, you will receive more confirmation emails. Please save these invoices and shipment notices for your records.

Address Restrictions

At the moment, orders are not shipped to military APO/FPO addresses or P.O. boxes. Please specify a valid physical address during the checkout process.

The rates shown on this page are ground-shipping estimates via common carrier. These estimates cover residential delivery, delivery appointment scheduling, liftgate service, and pallet jack service.

Please note that we do not ship to Alaska and Hawaii.

Shipping

Once an order is processed, it is shipped via LTL for large items or parcel carriers for smaller items. LTL shipments are curbside delivery only unless otherwise requested at the customer’s expense.

Ship times vary by final destination; however, the average is 2-4 business days for the East Coast and 5-7 business days for the West Coast. Please contact Designer Doors Supply directly for orders outside the contiguous United States.

Will Call Service

The buyer may pick up the order using their own transportation. Please call us before arriving at the warehouse to schedule a pickup window.

Any shipping charges will be refunded, and you will receive an email with pickup instructions and the date when collection is available.

Doors cannot be purchased on site because the warehouse does not provide retail service. All orders must be processed beforehand.

Shipping Time

This period covers the time between your order leaving the warehouse and arriving at your selected location.

Stock program 7-14 business days

Custom orders 14-16 weeks

Or 12 weeks with air-expedited shipping, plus ground delivery.

Lead time is confirmed once scope, materials, and freight details are approved.

Order Policy and Delivery Handling

We accept orders by phone, fax, email, Designer Doors Supply sales representative, or through our website. All orders are ground shipped via truck freight delivery.

Before shipment, a company representative will contact you to schedule a convenient delivery date. All necessary information will be provided, including contact numbers, tracking numbers, complete carrier information, and turnaround times.

The buyer works with the delivery company in their area to choose the time on the delivery date. It is recommended to have at least two to three people available to move the door from the pallet, as the product is heavy.

Designer Doors Supply takes no responsibility for personal injury or product damage while the product is being moved from the delivery truck into the required space.

Inspection, Damage Claims, and Final Acceptance

Upon delivery, it is strongly advised that the buyer inspect the order for shortage and damage while the driver is still present.

  1. Make photos of the damaged package and all visible damage while it is unpacked.
  2. Describe all damage and shortage on the freight bill.
  3. Accept the doors, unpack them, and inspect each item for any additional visible damage.
  4. Send a full report and supporting photos to Designer Doors Supply within 48 hours.
  5. Your sales representative will respond within 48 hours.

Shipping payments are made directly by Designer Doors Supply. The buyer should not pay the carrier company or its representatives any extra fees unless they choose to do so at their own cost. Designer Doors Supply will not refund those payments.

If the delivery address is inaccessible or incorrect, the buyer agrees to pay the total purchase price and any additional delivery charges. Please make sure the order can be received at the agreed delivery address.

Carefully inspect the order upon delivery. Designer Doors Supply holds no responsibility for damage that is not recorded on the carrier’s paperwork. As soon as the door unit has been installed, no shortage or damage can be claimed.

Direct Delivery Commitment

Designer Doors Supply offers the convenience of direct deliveries to committed customers. The customer agrees to have an agent and facilities available to accept all merchandise deliveries to the office, warehouse, job site, or other designated location.

The customer assumes responsibility for freight demurrage, hold-over, and similar charges arising from failure to fulfill those receiving obligations, regardless of the origin of the shipment or the consignor.
